About

A nontraditional path to medicine

I came to medicine through anthropology, global health, consulting, and software—fields that taught me to look beyond a single encounter and ask how the larger system could work better.

I’m currently an emergency medicine resident at the University of Chicago, caring for patients on Chicago’s South Side. My work is especially focused on addiction medicine, implementation, and the social and structural forces that shape health.

Before medicine, I built technology for healthcare teams, worked in strategy and social impact, and conducted Fulbright research in Jordan. I’m a first-generation college graduate and an alumnus of Stanford and the UC Berkeley–UCSF Joint Medical Program.

Beyond the work
